Piarom date is the best and highest-quality Iranian exported date, which has become quite popular among customers due to its unique taste and has gained a large share from international markets. This type of date is considered a semi-dry type. It’s harvested in mid-September and is usually available throughout the year.
The Piarom date has a sweet and unique taste. This date has an average to large size and narrow, long, oval, and wrinkled appearance. It is fleshy, with thin, dark brown and glossy skin. Since the flesh and skin of this type of date completely adhere together, its appearance is very beautiful and favorable.

Applications
Due to its unique taste and appearance, this type of date is often referred to as “Chocolate date”, and is consumed as a snack. This type of date is a convenient choice for diabetic patients due to presence of fructose as its dominant form of sugar which is rapidly metabolized in humans.

Storage
Piarom can be stored for up to 18 months under proper conditions at cold and dry storage facilities.
